This morning we took a flight from Bangalore to Mumbai to Jaipur. Ed split off from the group in Mumbai because he and his girlfriend Sarah are going to attend a wedding in Mumbai for the next few days. Lokesh also stopped in Hyderabad for the day to take care of some business before meeting up with the group again the following day in Jaipur.
The traffic in Mumbai is crazy. Everyone drives like a maniac, but somehow there don't seem to be any accidents.
Sarah's friend Komal (the bride) took Sarah shopping for some outfits for the wedding.
Sarah and Komal also helped Ed pick out an outfit.
Sarah went to the henna ceremony this evening. And even though it was supposed to be for "girls only", they let Ed come along.
Komal's henna was quite intricate.
This was the entrance to the wedding hall.
Not sure what was going on here, but it was colorful.
Ed and Sarah were attacked by some women who smeared their faces with a yellowish paste, which is supposed to "make the skin glow".
Before presenting the gift, Sarah took part in a Hindi ritual. In this picture she is about to place a red dot on the bride's forehead.
